Kids (even big ones) say the darndest things...

Remember a while back when I posted a goofy thing that Connor said?  He said how cool it would be to have a "pet immortal insect who could do things for you," and it cracked me up.  Well, he outdid himself today.  For some reason, the majorly cool way I set up his laptop so that it could send documents directly to the printer isn't working, and I have not had the gumption to figure out why.  Consequently, when he needs to print something, he emails it to me as an attachment.  So, he was emailing a draft of his Torrey term paper, and in the body of the email, he said this (note that the subject line said it was a "trailer for 'The Cat 7: Feline Frenzy'"):

STRONGER…

FASTER…

SMARTER.

FROM THE JUNGLES OF SOUTH AMERICA COMES THE SEVENTH, MOST FEARSOME ITERATION OF THE SPECIALLY-TRAINED, FELINE ASSASSINS BUILT FOR ONE PURPOSE: TO LEAVE THE WORLD A SMOKING RUIN

THIS TIME, THEIR CREATOR ISN’T PULLING ANY PUNCHES.

THIS TIME, IT’S TOTAL WAR. FOR REAL.

ANYONE WHO THOUGHT THE PREVIOUS SIX TOTAL WARS WERE TOTAL, YOU’VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMIN’.

THIS IS IT.

From Universal Studios, this technological thriller rivets with its stunning depictions of action, drama, romance, and cat psychology. Reserve seats now at the special limited showing in Los Angeles and New York.

THE CAT 7: FELINE FRENZY

Rated PG-13 for frenetic violence, thematic elements, and some disturbing images

That is WAAAY too funny! If you thought the other six... Oh, my. I hope you laughed a good, long while and forgave him whatever transgressions he may have committed during the day.

Oh, goodness, TP!  I totally cracked up .  That's why I just had to post it--it looked exactly like that in the body of the email.  He's so goofy--and I did forgive him all his transgressions (like working on that when he should have been working on a discussion question for his AP lit class or some such other thing).

I about died laughing when I read the "one purpose" for which these felines were built: "to leave the world a smoking ruin."  Also, its "stunning depiction" of "cat psychology."  Too much.

Sounds rather like a Peter Jackson movie.

Hi Kathleen!  I always enjoy the movie trailers that Connor and David write!  So funny!

Thanks to your blog, I've read Strong Poison and Have His Carcase.  I enjoyed the second one the most.  It kept me guessing till the end.  We watched the BBC production of SP, and I liked it, but was disappointed at the nude art model scene.  I'm hesitant to watch the HHC dvd that we have because I think there is an incident in there that could be a problem as well.

David and I are wondering when you all might be going to Hillsdale.  It is so late in the year, that I'm thinking we will try in April, perhaps.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Sayers books, Patricia!  We watched the BBC SP, too, and were quite disappointed with that scene, as well.  Consequently, we haven't watched more because of that.  Oh, wait!  Connor and I did see HHC when we were in Moscow, ID (the gal we were staying with happened to have rented them).  I don't recall anything...surprising...in that one.  I fell asleep for the last segment, but just asked Connor and he said it was okay.

We have been thinking of either late March or sometime in April for Hillsdale because of the weather factor.  I'm also trying to work around Connor's testing schedule--SAT in early March, and two AP exams in May.

A quick correction, Patricia.  Connor didn't watch the final episode, either, though he heard it while trying to fall asleep--so, he said to adjust my statement to "Connor thinks it's okay."

Can't wait till this hits theaters! Yet my favorite is still the one he wrote starring Hugh Jackman (and Scarlett Johansson, I think).
